Where:
Lessons take place here in our store. We have 13 studio rooms for the lessons to take place in. The rooms are small, built to accommodate our one-on-one lesson style. We also have a large studio room that we use for our newest program Music for Young Children.
When:
We have lessons running through most of the week. Monday through Thursday lessons take place between 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Fridays between 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on Sundays to give our amazing teachers a short break.
Lessons are half an hour long and take place once a week and you can register at any point in the year. Students don't need to be with us from the start of the year, or start of a semester. If you want to learn how to play piano and it's half way through March, come see us and we'll set you up with a great teacher!
Cost:
Lessons range in price from $90 per month up to $112, depending on the teacher and time spots that are available. The cost per half hour lesson is about $22.50 to $28.
Payment Options:
We have three payment options available for our lessons. The first is monthly, which we can do through a PAD agreement (pre-authorized debit), MasterCard or Visa, or post dated cheques. There is a $30 registration fee that applies once per year per family.
Our registration fee is waved if you would like to pay the semester or year option. The semester is two payments, one for September-January and the other for February-June. If you register partway through the year, we can break the remaining months down into two groups for you. The year option is one payment for however many lessons are left in the year from the start date of the students lessons.
Flex Plan:
If you don't have time for lessons once a week on a regular basis, we also have a Flex pass option. The cost is $280 for ten lessons ($28 per lesson). These never expire and you can book lessons whenever you're available. No refunds are given for unused lessons.
Lessons are booked no more than one week in advance. If you need to cancel a booked lesson, try to call at least 24 hours in advance so you don't lose the lesson.We cannot guarantee the same teacher or ideal time spot for flex lessons. Time spots and teacher availability change all the time. We will do our best to get you the same teacher each time, unless you request someone else or want to try a different instrument.
Lesson Cancellation:
Our cancellation policy is stated on the registration form that guardians or students are asked to sign. It reads as follows:
No lessons will be made up due to student absence. Lessons missed due to student cancellation will be forfeit.
Lessons will be made up for teacher absences; we retain qualified teachers and reserve the right to substitute or replace teachers if and when necessary.
Lesson Termination:
Our termination policy is also stated on the registration form that guardians or students are asked to sign. It reads as follows:
Written notice of 30 calendar days must be given to store staff in order for lessons to be terminated.
No refunds will be issued for lessons received. Outstanding credits, excluding teacher absences, will be applied to subsequent lessons. Remaining un-cashed payments will be destroyed.
Regardless of student attendance, the full amount of the last month will be processed.
Summer Lessons:
We run lessons during the summer for anyone wishing to continue with year round lessons, or anyone who wants to try out a couple months. They take place during the months of July and August. We do not have the same amount of teachers during the summer so times are a little more limited and we cannot guarantee that you'll have the same teacher you had for the previous year of lessons. Registration is open in June for summer lessons.
